We are proud to announce that group alumnus Tom Linker just won the prestigious 2025 LCLS Young Investigator Award. In honor of the award Tom gave a talk today in the plenary session at the 2025 SSRL/LCLS Users’ Meeting at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Carlos is a second-year physics masters student, and he graduated from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2022 with and engineering physics degree. Here in Bergmann group, they will be working on the X-FAST project. Welcome Carlos, we are looking forward to working with you!

Sophie was invited to speak at the 2025 SGEAS Archaeological Science Cluster Seminar Series at the University of Melbourne where she presented her work on ‘Unravelling the Chemistry and Aging of Culturally Important Australian Plant Exudates’.
